Towel project

I would like to thank each and everyone who helped us and contributed to the towel project. We reached our target of collecting 60 towels and we handed it over to the “Koningskinders” project. These towels will be handed out to the children when they go on camps. In these families where finances are a problem, towels are in great demand, especially when the children go on camps.

“Koningskinders” uses a structured program on each of these camps. Cleaning after one self, keeping your surroundings clean as well as personnel hygiene is life skills which they try to teach each child.

They do group activities to teach them to work together as a team and also to share.

Biblical principles form the basis for these camps. Every morning and evening they do praise and worship and reading from the Bible forms part of these sessions.

There is also more than enough physical activities and good healthy food available during these camps.

During these camps, the facilitators get to know each child and his/her family. This allows them to make sure that follow-up visits are done on a regular basis after the camp. They also have different support programs which the children can partake in once they get back home.

The most important is that there is time to teach the children of God’s grace in a loving and joyful environment.
